Well, Porsche did not always do everything as listed, as others have pointed out, not all the 77s (mostly early cars) came with the 16s. Seems Porsche had a habit of grabbing was was close, in some cases. A friend who purchased his 71 911 new, had both flat & deep sixes, just months apart, my 914-6 was undercoated at the factory, yet Porsche claims they didn't do that (one of the longest, going restoration arguments going among 914-6 owners and I know of one, who picked up his car, directly from the port, and it was undercoated, and he lost at Parade because of that, and the car was Brand new at the time) So to say all Porsches came a certain way, is incorrect, as some dealers were also installing 9X15s on 930s at the time.
