What are you after with this turbo you bought? Is the bigger old one damaged in some way?
If you're wanting boost to come on earlier there's much better turbos to use than a K27 7200 and they cost a lot less too.
If you're after more power in the midrange and upper rpms the older bigger one is much better.

The o-ring adapter on the new turbo is for a stock charge pipe that uses o-rings to seal (and they never do seal completely) and if the bigger old turbo was on the car the original charge pipe had to be cut off at the bottom and a hose put over it and clamped in place to use it. Or a custom made charge pipe was on the car. Don't try and squish a hose thats too big with a hose clamp to try and make it fit. That won't work.

An in focus up close picture of the little blue tag on the new turbo is needed to really identify it but it looks like a plain old K27 7200.
They both look like they have T3 turbine housing flanges on them from what can be seen so far.
A picture of the charge pipe that was used with the bigger turbo would help too.
