Very interesting, lots of good info, thanks for sharing.

This placement suggested ahead of the throttle body would traditionally be a no-no for a MAF because of the turbulence caused by the nearby tight radius bends, and/or tapered housings. For instance, the back of this C2T intercooler is a large tapered "V" as it transitions to the ~3" round throttle body ring.

I cannot see how placing the MAF in this area directly above the throttle body will result in consistent and reliable airflow readings.

That leaves positioning the MAF to be a draw-through, in front of the turbocharger, like on a 993T.
