They were used on all 930/50 engines and some were equipped in Aug-Oct 1975 for 1976 RoW Turbos. 950/50 engine numbers: 1975 - 6750021-6750297 (277 engines) and 1976 - 6760021-6760157 (137 engines): 277 + 137 = 414 engines fitted by the end of October 1975. The engine and coachwork had to be identical for Group 4 homologation so Porsche equipped 400 Turbos with 930/50 engines in 1975 and 1976 model years. The coachwork exception for production turbos was sunroof (allowed by FIA rules) and rear wing where Porsche homologated both the larger secondary grill A/C version and smaller secondary grill non-A/C version.
