So I pulled the motor tonight. Pulled the trans off the motor and took the clutch apart.

First, I guess I used too much grease. LOL.




You can see in this pic that that TOB collar was being pulled all the way out and touching the collar on the trans and left an impression in the grease, so any ideas of not enough throw, or misadjusted cables, levers, etc are out. The TOB cannot go any further.





I checked the splines on the input shaft and they are smooth. No damage. When I slide the friction disc back and forth on the shaft, it operates smoothly, but only when I pull evenly on two opposite sides of the disc. If I pull on one side, the disc binds and you can rock the disc back and forth a little on the shaft. Not much, but enough to bind it. The old disc does the exact same thing, so I do not believe there is anything wrong with the new disc.

Next, I am going to check the flywheel to make sure it isn't warped or installed incorrectly.

Any thoughts out there on this so far?
