Hey Roland, it may not be easy to see but the hubs are mounted last so the only mounting surface is the back side. One of the pictures shows the adapter ring all taped up with only the exposed edge to be pained.
After the bolt issue we had a productive conversation on how best to proceed. It was decided that the wheels needed to come apart and all the old silicone removed. Each piece would then be inspected then prepped for paint. That was where they were in the process when these pictures were taken. After the final paint we will re-assemble with locktite, torque, silicone, then allow to cure over the weekend before mounting the tires. Pretty much the same methodology used when building engines. Things are always a lot more involved and take a lot more time than the final product might convey. I like one and done, not doing things twice, but sometimes you don't get it your way, I'm exited now to see how they look on the car painted!
