Oil in plenum and throttle bodies

Hi all just removed the damaged flat fan and noticed a lot of oil in the intake pipes, plenum and throttle bodies. no6 cylinder was a lot darker then the others. the turbos are new...Could I have to much oil pressure at the turbos and it is leaking past the seals????. the oil drains from turbos to a small tank then the scavenge pump pumps it back into the top tappet cover ... or could it be the pump is not pumping and the oil is just staying in the tank.. is there a way of testing this.. trying to upload photos

BEAUTIFUL!!!
gotta see more pics of that engine and car.

how much valve overlap are you running?
just wondering if you have a ring or maybe valve guide problem with no6 and it is blowing oil UP into the intake at overlap.

strange that all 6 would not be black if it was the turbo.
BUT, the turbo can leave oil in the intake and runners.

I would look at no6 first.

if that is a ball bearing turbo you need a restrictor in the oil line feeding it.

With two turbos you should get the Clewett Scavenging pump. That's a lot of oil with dual ball bearing turbos for the stock pump to keep up with.
I had to upgrade with one ball bearing turbo. And I do have the upgraded check valve from TK.

oil in plenum

Hi all what size inline oil restrictors should I use with the Garret ceramic bearing turbos I am thinking this may also be contributing to the problem...I did think the factory scavenge pump would do the job of draining what little oil the turbos use but now realize these 2 issues combined are the problem.

oil in plenum

Just removed the line that goes from turbo drain tank to scavenge pump and the tank is full of oil so it does seem that the scavenge pump is not up to it ...still need to workout if I am over feeding the turbos... I currently rum 1mm restrictors in the oil feed lines...what does everyone else use....

I dont think you want to go smaller than 1mm restrictor. I use 1.5mm but with one holset and its good so far. Have you considered T-ing the drip outlet to sump with a one way valve? I dont think I've seen anyone trying that before so maybe it will not work? The valve part is somewhat unclear, will it restrict flow and without it could end up so that the scavenge pump drains from sump too?

Does anyone know of a short banjo that could be used in the sump drain. Short as in not taking up ground clearance.

Ball bearing turbos have t run 0.8mm restrictor, otherwise you will be blowing oil past the bearings. With thse your scavenge pump will not have problem removing oil.
