Can anybody tell me if this connector is just an optional one or what? I found it yesterday when i was doing some work on the BOV. It`s dusty, so I don`t know if it`s in use...?? Can`t find anywher to connect it...

Just an idea. Can it be the connector to the rear blower motor. Maybe the 930 don`t have this motor, and the wire just are there and not connected because the 911 and 930 has the same wire harness.

Did not see you posted Raymond, so I posted one recently as well :-)
Now you might have double answers :-) |
Your missing 2 nuts on your recirculate piston housing as well!

Hello Turbo friend
Looks like the it would goes to your vacuum solenoid that is used for the emissions diverter coming from you air pump. |
|
That one's not for the airpump, its to block vacuum retard to the distributor I think. Its inline between the nipple on the dizzy can closest to the dizzy body and port I on the rear LHS of the throttle body. Controlled by the thermo switch in the chain housing LHS if I remember correctly.
The vacuum solenoid-valve (37 in the hose plan diagram for an '86 930) is plumbed thusly: -Nipple underneath the electrical connector to the throttle body -Nipple opposite the electrical connector vents to atmosphere -Nipple on top at 90 degrees to the distributor |
