Snorkel Washer Nozzles for 1978/79 930?
Does anyone know of a source for replacement snorkel washer nozzles and gaskets? Also what is the best way to remove the old ones?

Found a used pair on ebay but sticker shock. I don't need the full assemblies so will keep searching.

You need to remove the bumper to get to the snorkels. I got replacement snorkels from Dr. Konradsheim in Austria.

There is a clip inside the bumper that holds it down, remove the clip and the assembly can be lifted out of the bumper after disconnecting the hose, which will be very brittle as well.

I'm a pretty basic mechanic and thought it was pretty easy. Took about 2 hours and most of that was cleaning and prepping fasteners. Clips were tricky to place on underside of snorkles, you gotta line them up perfectly with the groove, and use grease.

I have never replaced mine, but are they not side specific? I recall seeing a car where the washer nozzles were not pointed correctly and someone said the sides were swapped.

These things are ideal candidates to be 3 D printed, considering the cost of replacements. I'm surprised somebody has not done that.

Dr Konradsheim was selling them with the gaskets for 200 euro a pair. I bought a pair over a year ago. they are 3d printed. very nice.
however, I just saw on F-chat that that porsche classic is now reissuing them! our host https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachments/img_0310-2-jpg.2647430/Part Numbers Nozzle 91162808502 (R) 91162808601 (L) $ 83.50 each (according to Pelican's part page) Check Valve 477955183 $ 21.00 each Base Gaskets 91162880800 (r) 91162880700 (L) $ 19.61 each Last edited by creempuf; 01-08-2019 at 02:37 PM.. |

Got mine yesterday, they are genuine Porsche.
Very very happy, have been looking for years. F-chat 930 Turbo Carrera -thread was source for information for me too. Don't know how big batch is available.

I just tried to order the whole shebang. Both Pelican and Rose Passion (thanks for the tip--never heard of them, BTW) are now showing 91162808601 (left side nozzle) as out of stock. I went ahead and ordered the other nozzle, as well as two check valves and both base gaskets anyway.
Reproduction of these parts is is very good news for a lot of people, so it's no surprise that Porsche might have trouble keeping up with demand. |

Apparently rose passion bought out Automotion. The website is horrible, and the pricing is way more than what automotion sold for. They have to get things figured if they are going to continue to sell in the US

Just a heads-up--I asked my local Porsche independent to see if they could find the left-side nozzle that had sold out so quickly. He put in an order a few weeks back and I picked mine up today. So it looks like they may be available again...
