2" or 2.5" between turbo and intercooler?
|
One observation that I have made is that Porsche transitioned their pipe from small to larger right at the turbo. They then carries the larger size up to the intercooler (or intake in the case of the 3.0 turbo's).

A 2" to 2 1/2 transition is typically used. I try to have the transition as close to the turbo/turbos as possible.

I have a 2” intercooler inlet on my new intercooler and had 2.5”on my old one. I didn’t see any difference whatsoever going back to 2”
