SC Cams

Hi - finally time to deal with some annoying oil leaks so the engine is coming out for some resealing..

Since this is the perfect time to change cams, I'm wondering if anyone has a set of good SC cams they'd consider parting with?

Check the f/s forum. There was a guy who had a couple pairs listed a few days back.

Stock SC is what I had in mind, ideally already modified for 930 use. SC330 would also work for me

I think you will find the SC's run out of wind too early... mine were done by 5700 rpm. Then I did 330's which were much better. 964's will work good also with your mods...

Yes I hear what you’re saying and understand the differences and trade-offs of the cam options.

I’ve pretty much accepted that this cars track days are behind it, and finding anywhere on public roads where I can safely let it rip is getting harder and harder.

Figure I’ll get a lot more enjoyment getting quickly to 5700 rpm than I will being above that, which puts me at vehicle impound speeds! Hence the preference for SC or SC330 cams.

For our non-Canadian fellow enthusiasts, Ontario police can seize your car if you’re caught doing 50km/h or more over the speed limit. With our 100km/h speed limit on the highway, winding it out in 2nd gear basically gets you there 😠
