Thoughts on ZDDP Zinc oil treatment?
I’m using Valvoline VR1 20W50
I know in previous older threads there seems to be 2000 responses and 2000 opinions.. https://lufteknic.myshopify.com/products/zplus-zddp-zinc-oil-treatment-additive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I recently had the head studs and some other items repaired on my 1975 911s. The car ran great, but developed a smoking problem. I called the repair shop and they indicated Brad Penn was used in the crankcase. I switched back to the Castrol 20w 50 I had been running for years, the smoking problem disappeared. Just my experience

Brad Pen is no longer Brad Pen. You have to buy Driven Racing oil to get the good stuff now: https://www.pca.org/story-behind-drivens-new-gp-1-oils

I used to use Castrol, later switching to VR1 solely for the ZDDP content.
