915 Clutch Helper (omega) Spring

I just finished rebuilding a 915 transmission on my 88 930. Can someone, smarter than me, instruct me on how to install the clutch helper (omega) spring. I'm putting the bigger (3 spring) side into the large actuation arm and trying to pry the single spring end onto the bracket stop. Apparently this isn't the right approach, or I'm just not doing it correctly.

This was my method. Use a vise to squeeze the spring. Then a C clamp to hold. Not safe. good luck.

Thanks. I was attempting something similar with a pair of vice grips but didn’t see it ending well. I’ll try the C-clamp technique once I get it installed.

GregPV - the c-clamp method worked well. Got is all reinstall and started up today. Thanks again.
