Any 17" Fuchs Fikse FFR owners ? (ZF Zuchs Zuff Zuffenhausen)

Hi, Wondering if there are any 930 owners here with 17" Fikse FFR Fuchs, Aka, ZF, Zuchs, Zuff Fuchs, Zuffenhaus) ? What choice did you make for the rear wheels outer shell (barrel / lip)? - 5.0" outer lip running no rear spacers - 4.5" outer lip with no spacers, or maybe with a rather shallow spacer - 4.0" outer lip with OEM spacer or similar Also, what are your thoughts for the front wheels on a 1986 930? 3.0" or 2.5" outer lip? Sold my Lindsey P2's and now going with Fikse FFR. Many thanks in advance! Best Regards Toby

I have a set of Fiske Alton Fuchs on my 1982 930 (looks identical to the above car), but I can't answer your questions. I let who ever I bought them from determine the fitting, 9" front and 11" for the rear. I dont run any spacers in the rear. Sorry I'm no help.

Hi Toby, I got a set of the fikse Fuchs several years ago, think it was 2014. I got them in stock offsets since my goal was the stock look with 17in tires.

I have an '87 930 with the original Alton wheels. I kept the stock 28 mm spacer. The specs: Front 17x9, 5.68 backspacing, ET 30 mm. The rear inner barrel is 4.5 inches wide. Rear 17x11, 6.18 backspacing, ET 17 mm. One rear outer shell cracked and leaked, so it was replaced by a new Fikse wheel. Of note, the Zuffenhausen/Alton Fuchs are a little bit different than the Fikse ones (bolt holes and the flange don't match up), so parts are not interchangeable between them.

Thanks for your reply so far guys! @Noah930: Are you sure that you are running a 28mm spacer in the rear? My Lindsey 17" Rear Fuchs were also 17x11" and I was also running the OEM 28mm spacer. But my ET for those rear wheels was ET 31 mm. Looking at our pics, the setting for the rears on our 930's look similar, so that's why I don't get it to add up Best Regards Toby

Yes, I'm certain I'm running the stock spacer under the wheels.

@Noah930: Thanks for replying back. Ok, so if you are running the 28mm Stock spacers in the rear, then ET17 for 17x11 rims would make the wheel poke out a lot. Stock ET for the 930 is +15 on 16x9 wheels. That would mean that a ET +17 on 17x11 would poke out 23.5mm further compared to stock. Sounds a lot to me. Looking at your pictures, it would make sense that the rears would be somewhere between +27 to +32 ET if there is 28mm spacers mounted. Or if the rear wheel would be a 17x10", then ET17 would add up better. Just my 2 cents :-) Best Regards Toby Last edited by Toby930; 02-16-2022 at 09:29 AM..

Full disclosure: I have not measured the backspacing/offset for my wheels. The numbers I posted are what was sent to me by Zuffenhaus, when they built them. But, I replaced a Zuffenhaus wheel with one made by Fikse recently, and Brant used the specs posted above, and that wheel turned out fine .

OK, we will leave it there, thanks for your input Noah In general, when searching all forums out there, there seems to be many different opinions regarding offset for the 930 on aftermarket wheels. Guess the only correct way is to measure the front spacing and back spacing properly :-)

If you have question about these wheels that your are considering buying, email me directly and I can go over specs with you. Many variables that include tire choice, chassis year, desire to run/not run factory spacers (front year dependent), engine power, use of vehicle etc.... We can get a set dialed in for you... Cheers
