North Carolina 930 guys
I am leaving south floriduh at the end of may and relocating to the mt airy area and looking for like minded 930 enthusiasts to show me some bad a$$ mountain twisties. I remember the palooza pete put together years ago and we left from somewhere by Winston Salem and went into Virginia. Anyway can’t wait to get outa this place and join in the fun nc mountains.

Hey Kevin. No new mods, heads are over getting an “ update” to bills latest and greatest and new valve springs. I’ll be turning the boost waaaay down in the mountains

From Mt. Airy I'd take 77S to 40W to Marion then hop on 80 north (very fun road) until you hit the Parkway. The take the Parkway (incredible drive) into Asheville for lunch/a beer and hop on 40E back home. That will be a solid afternoon drive.
Some of my other favorites: 226 Loop through Little Switzerland. 181 north of Morganton to Jonas Ridge. 221/321 Loop through Boone. |

Glad to hear your making a move to NC! I just finished building a cabin in Banner Elk NC and will be bringing my 88 up there for the summers! I have driven it up there many times and the roads are amazing!! Lets organize some drives for sure!! Great little places for lunch stops as well!! Ill be in touch!! Clark

Frank!!!! Cant wait to have you up in North Carolina. I live in Highlands Nc and the roads up here are world class. I am 2 hours north of Atlanta. Turbo Brad and 930 Zen Sean come up to Highlands all the time for some Turbo Blasting around the mountains. Send me a PM and we will all get together. TATE

Lots or Air Cooled Rallies up here. Middle of May there is the Mountain Ruckus in Roanoake..
In October. There is the Targa Carolina in Little Switzerland Nc. Go stay at the Switzerland Inn and drive those roads. Some of the best around. I am also putting together a drive out of Highlands NC.

Is there any additional information available on the 930 gathering at Road Atlanta the week end of 10 April? I live in Gainesville, about 14 miles away, and would like to meet some of the Georgia locals even though my car is still on the lift with the engine in pieces.
