77S backdate with 3.3 turbo power
I'm really pleased with my euro CIS 3.3 liter with 964 cams, stock piston and cylinders and opened up intake (36mm).
https://youtu.be/Z6sdSgpgJzA I used CP rods with race bearings. Standard WUR, no AAR and it'll start no matter how cold. This car weighs 2250 with fuel in the tank and decent size battery. Transaxle is also 930 4 speed with LSD and close ratio gears. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Fixer; 02-27-2022 at 07:30 PM.. |

Why is the pressure dropping to vacuum at full throttle?

It weighed 2180 before the interior went in. I used the original 77S black interior. I just washed and dyed faded areas. The original carpet is light. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It about made my friend Ron who owns a 2018 GT3 touring wet himself. It's probably not quicker than the GT3 but definitely feels it!
Ron's words not mine. He said he honestly couldn't tell. I think my car just feels quicker bc it's so raw but it is a lot lighter than his GT3 at 3200 pounds. I think I have as much or more torque. I will dyno soon I wanted to have 1500 miles on it first. Last edited by Fixer; 03-01-2022 at 06:38 PM.. |

Yes 9/11x15 with TB 15s which are wearing well. I'm not noticing any wear yet. I'm glad bc they weren't cheap! It's a 77S chassis. I did all work including painting in my garage. I'm refinishing the wheels like this soon. The barrels will be a deep grey and the same for the aluminum door frames ('68 frames) maybe with slightly tinted polycarbonate this time. I hope we can drive too I'm located in the Philly burbs. I'll be at Hershey with the Mrs. Matt ![]() ![]() This car is all steel and leaded. I also stitch welded the usual places. When I got the flares close to what I wanted I took another 10 days once on the car with dolly and shrinker disc getting them rounded like an ST in the back and up front to look 73 RSR or IROC. It took so much time. I started before but really got going during covid lockdown 2 years ago. Plenty of details to do. Last edited by Fixer; 03-01-2022 at 07:15 PM.. |

That is familiar!
No a 78 or 79 930 4 speed with close ratio gears and factory LSD. I shortened this 4 speed and the input shaft. The input shaft was case hardened again ($75) I have Yellow Bird Sachs Racing billet aluminum pressure plate. Clutch feels great it kept me up at night since I shortened it exactly 27 mm. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Fixer; 03-01-2022 at 07:00 PM.. |

So nice.
I got lucky and found one short. Still need an lsd. The ratios in mine are standard and make me miss the 915. I’m using a 934 clutch package as I kept wrecking clutches. It’s not too bad. Still learning.

I like this 4 speed, 1st is tall then it's all close ratio. Only 3rd gear is standard. Diff is standard. I can do 75 mph in first gear lol. Kenny McNeil custom heat exchangers and K27/7200, TiAl Wastegate. Cheap Turbo smart manual control but I only have a .7 bar spring in wastegate. I don't trust the manual boost controller. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Fixer; 03-01-2022 at 07:20 PM.. |
