3.0 turbo retrofit to long neck Ic help

Hello
I was hoping to find a line diagram on retro fitting a 76 /77 3.0l row turbo to use a long neck intercooler with a blow off /bypass valve with the original cis system.... Because of the ic retrofit and blow off valve I'm a little confused on where all the hoses terminate... Fyi im using a 77 throttle body as my car has a brake booster . Obviously once im 100% sure of what goes where i will be replacing all associated hoses... Thanks in advance fyi its an early 76 intake manifold. Cant believe those welds are stock guess welding magnesium was not as refined as it is today.

Hi, are you trying to fit an old ANDIAL Longneck intercooler made for the 1976-77 Turbo Carrera, or a newer one made for a standard 3.3 Turbo?

If you're using a later one (TurboKraft, Kokeln, ANDIAL, etc) then you need a 3.3L intake manifold because the throttle body sits at a different angle than on the 3.0T.
Or cut and re-weld the intercooler outlet.

BTW: all the 3.3L manifolds have a brake booster vacuum port between cylinders 1 and 2.

Hmmm, 965 BOV elbow needed? This is the common retrofit for the 3.3 intake system. See the second picture on the first page.

A = boost pressure sending unit, M18x1.5mm
B = overboost pressure switch, M10x1.0mm
C = vacuum limiter, aka deceleration valve
D = diverter valve
E = auxilliary air valve

Sometimes there are (2x) M10x1.0mm ports, and the 2nd one is for the wastegate pressure line. Other times there is a nipple or port on the inlet side of the intercooler.

The vacuum source for the deceleration valve is from below the throttle plate, and it can be shared with the diverter valve.

Sometimes pictures are better than words.
Arrow points to hose from Intercooler to bov.

Circle around bov mounted in 965 elbow.

Thanks guys so the metal thing is the deceleration valve. Im Assuming i still need it what exactly is its purpose? .. If i reading this correctly it basically a bypasses for the throttle body? that run from the intake to the back side of the intercooler? .... The two take
offs are offset are they directional?...

First thing to check is whether that vacuum disc still holds vacuum or if the diaphragm is torn. If it still is intact you can consider using it. The decel valve helps reduce popping and burbling on deceleration and supposedly can help keep boost up between shifts.
Here’s a photo of my Turbokraft long neck IC (for 3.3) that might help you.

I ditched my decel valve years ago. Didn’t notice any difference other than previously mentioned popping and gurgling

On the blue 930 I deleted as many of those devices as possible. It now starts and runs 100% better. Just installed a wevo and at same time hooked up the existing manual throttle lever. Cold start is now a joy. The aux air valve would idle up so high that it would wake the dead!
