Piggyback fuel computers
I've been doing a bunch of readings on here as I've been putting together the parts for turboing my 1987 Carrera. The last time I added a supercharger to a vehicle (15 years ago) I used an Apexi S-AFC with larger injector and had a wideband O2 monitor.
From my reading it seems like most people are either going standalone ECU (which I have 0 interest in doing) or using custom chips, which seems a but cumbersome and about the same price as a standalone. Here's the question, I'm having a bunch of problems finding a piggy back fuel tuner, does anyone still offer 1 that would work with the Motronic and a MAF conversion? |
Nobody uses piggybacks anymore really. Standalones have come a long way and arent terribly difficult to do nowadays.

As stated above, "standalones have come a long way," but at the same time I get where you're coming from with that thought.
You need to check out Sal Caler (sp) or VEMS. https://www.pnpecu.com/vems-porsche-911-32-carrera-32-231-hp-64-p.asp Do a search for Sal over on the tech forum. |
