3.0 turbo motor with 3.3 cis sys.
 

hey guys, bought what I thouht was a 3.3 turbo
motor turns out it’s a 3.0 turbo motor with 3.3
cis and exhaust on it. the case is a replacement case no numbers. the motor was running and driving before it was pulled from the car. I never saw it run. so question is what can I expect.

oh that sucks.
i was told my 930 had a RUF 3.4 in it. when i looked at the receipts the rings were for a 3.3
i dont think the owner lied, he just didnt know,

you can do a leak down on it with it out of the car.
put it in and see what you got or if your plan was to rebuild then make a 3.4
port the heads, change cams, B&B exhaust, have evergreen modify your turbo and enjoy.

if you are worried about 3.3 CIS on a 3.0 i wouldnt worry.

Is the motor disassembled? You should post pictures of the pistons and the case where the engine number should be.
