Sanity check : installing used 3.3 P&Cs .. good idea?
I came to the stage where I need to rise the bar a bit more with my 3.2 turbo conversion. running turbo on a euro 3.2 is too risky on the long run, and since my project was based on a limited budget, so I thought if I can find a clean set of 3.3 pistons and cylinders, that would be a much better idea to be safe and get the boost up to a more reasonable 10-15 pounds. care to know what do you guys think?

If you can find a set that is well within spec, why not? I would always replace the ring pack and you will be in great shape. But you could always mill your existing pistons to achieve the desired compression ratio for less money.

Definitely I will put in a new set of piston rings just in case, but the quest now is to find a good set for a reasonable price, if anyone has a set please let me know. Thanks,,, |
I have my original set lying on the shelf. I always kept it and thought I might need it one day. but now after 10 years i realize that i drive the car 1-2 times a year for a few km and i am at a point where i will soon give up the hobby.
so if you are thinking about installing 930 cylinders and pistons let me know, i would like 500 euros plus shipping. I'm happy to take pictures for you, dominik |
Dang Dominik, that’s a super nice gesture towards our member Kamaro.

Thanks Dominik! |
One more question, Would the stock 3.2 heads fit directly to a 3.3 cylinder without the 3.3 gasket?
Also, I call again if anyone has a good set of 3.3 pistons and cylinders for sale please let me know. Thanks! |
