clunking noise

So I am getting a clunking noise when I shift up in gears. I can hear it as a 'thock' and I can feel it. Once engaged, no issue.
First thought was loose engine or gearbox mounts. Nope. Tight. Same for half shafts.
So I am guessing must be internal. My only guess right now would be broken springs in the clutch friction plate. Meaning no cushion for the transmission when it re engages from a shift. Total guess.
Anyone had similar before? Wondering how long it will run like that.
One more race weekend to get thru.
Regards
Alan

When I bought my 930, I soon realized that something was wrong with the clutch, including clunking noises, difficulty getting into reverse and probably more. So I eventually pulled the motor/trans to see what's up.
The friction disk fell out in three pieces! I don't know how it worked at all! But a new lightweight pressure plate and new friction disk, along with resurfacing my flywheel fixed it.

Not sure if your noise is the same, but it's something to look into...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1675801973.jpg

Hmm, I may be on the right track then.
We will soon find out.
Swapping it all out for a light weight system shortly.
Will be pulling it apart after this weekend if it holds together long enough.
Will post up the fault.
My money is on those springs being broken, but they look pretty solid.
I don't have an issue finding any gears right now.

That was an easy fix

Would have found it earlier, but last 2 race meetings were a long way from home so no return trip to the hoist. Only just got it back on hoist to drop the engine.
I did crawl under at one point and check the 2 mounting bolts. Missed those guys.
