WHP to engine %?

How much % of lost do you all count with in our 930/965

I heard quite different numbers.
For example Larry at cis flowtech claims it has 20% of lost at the wheels.
Can it really be that much of lost?

As we do not have a driveshaft, universal joints etc, I would estimate 15% loss.

15% is what I’ve heard most but don’t know anyone who’s done a chassis to engine dyno comparison.

Depending on the mfg of the dyno it varies, we had a DTS and a very good room when I was at JB Racing, we dynoed our engine in the morning same day and conditions back in the car to a 500 hp Dynojet and the loss was 17% on a 350 hp at the crank engine, we did several others from 2.0 to 3.8 and was pretty close with the rest, the mustangs as I understand are a bit stingy but can’t say for sure the dynapac with direct mount to hub are very close and because they remove the tire slip factor make a very smooth curve.
Hope this helps, Mike Bruns

Great info Mike, very cool!

Similar experience going from MODE's engine dyno then onto a Dynapack chassis dyno: 13%
