911 interior opinions
Hi
I recently acquired a modified 85 911 and it had its center console replaced with something more custom and a few gauges. I purchased the correct center console for the car but, as slippery slopes go, I would up thinking I wanted a clean look for my lower dash and my lower knee pad area had been re-leathered ? So I decided I like the rennline backdate lower dash option but I noticed that look usually forgoes the original center console. Will it look goofy with the canter console and the backdate lower dash ? or should I just leave the console out and go with the clean look ? I need the dash more than I need the console in there. Anyway I am open to anyones opinions I know its my car and I can do as I please, but I do enjoy other feedback as well -Mike |

Personally I would go oem look with the center console or the backdate look. Mixing them would look odd to me.
I would go backdate for sure...never really loved the look of the console. |

I think it would look alright with both the backdated dash and the center console. I get the feeling that taking the console out when backdating the dash is something most people do just because most people do. If you're a visual person, you could backdate the dash and leave the console installed. If you don't like them together you can remove the console later. That said, on my car I removed the console and put a fire extinguisher there.
