Stolen 1979 930 Turbo

My 1979 930 was stolen Saturday night. Vin # 9309800489 License # 5pqm834 in Cambell, Ca.
I'm so pist off. I just finished rebuilding the trans, fixed all of my oils leaks, put a K27 on it.
Here are some pictures, but the wheels are different. It has some ugly chrome turbo twist on it. At least I get to keep my 7's and 9s.

Please keep an eye out for it. I'll offer a reward if found, but it is probably stripped by now.

Brad

Put a post on the 911 forum if you havent already.

A guys Carrera was stolen just last weekend in SoCal. A fellow pelican who is on the police force in the area was going to pass the word around to his fellow officers.

She's a beauty and could almost be my twin. Funny thing is my car was originally from Campbell.

Sux!!!!

I was sitting down, and noticed a number that wasnt remembered but fimiliar..WOW, Brad called and had mentioned his car was stolen!!.. Thats the 2 call this week with getting another "My car was stolen" But from a fellow Pelican, but not a customer..

Last year, i did a PPI on a Carrera, but car was tagged as a SC.. I looked further, and noticed it was a real SC.. WTF,.... So i went back into a old thread and lookes at a red car that 911 tech thread was posted.. I did some research and found that that was a Pelicans car.. HOLLY CRAP!!.. Buyer was from Canada, and we would have never seen it again!... I called a customer from SFPD and had him run a check.. STOLEN CARRERA.. Long story short it got home safe..

I cover a wide area, so hopefully it comes within my path!!!!..

BTW PPL... Brad said paint on hood was a bit faded when we chatted..

Not sure if this was resolved way back in 2007. But here is the same vin of the stolen 930 up for sale. Re-painted, etc. tried to reach out to them about it, but getting no answer.

this is my greatest fear and why you should think about how much info you put on forums.

Where was it taken from?

Going to be hard to get rid of these parts in this small community.

Bombard shops, Facebook, renn, Twitter………

I bet someone is trying to figure out what to do with car.

Recently a guy in south Florida had a trailer stolen, full of very expensive parts. He bombarded Facebook and someone saw the trailer in Daytona and he got it back with everything still inside.

Simple anti theft is put *several* airtag trackers. Hide some in difficult to reach spots. Just FYI, I have seen reports out of the TRX community that the thieves are still successfully finding well hidden air tags.

That price makes it look like something’s up. Either it’s low priced because it’s stolen or low price because the Carfax shows serious damage. I’m curious to follow this. Hopefully the original poster chimes in.

That is 100% the same stolen car. Besides the obvious (the same vin) there are other identifying marks that confirm its the same car.

I did a quick look at zeemotors on google maps and the cars on the lot look very different to what is shown on the website. Possibly really old website, the prices sure look old?
