1977 930 rear speakers

I had some stereo work done and planned on replacing all of the speakers with OEM speakers. The installer said there are no speakers in the rear and that he would have to cut the separation board/plate between the cabin and engine to accomodate speakers.

Did the 1977 930 come with factory speakers? Was this a factory option? The back area where the speakers would go is perforated so I'm stumped.

4x6 speakers fit on the underside of the panel
