Accidentally turned crank backwards. What to check?
Hey all,
I was changing my clutch and when I went to install the pressure plate, the crank rotated a bit while tightening the bolts down (rotated clockwise while looking at the flywheel, which is counter-clockwise looking at engine from the fan side.). The crank turned a total of a few inches. I already rotated back to TDC and check distributor rotor position was pointing to the notch in the distributor. Anything else to check to make sure I didn't do any damage? Again, this was all by hand and probably 30-40 degrees rotated. Thank you! |
Engines can spin both ways... I think you'll be fine~

Just give it a rotation in the correct direction to put tension back on your chains before you start it.just to play it safe.

Done it heaps of times.
