Wink Digital WUR for Turbo

Forgive me for posting this here, but I know it could get lost over in the general 911 parts for sale.
Maybe someone in the turbo community is interested in this, I have a:
UTCISPT digital WUR w/interface for sale.

It was bought originally for my 87’ 930 and run for a few hours until it was decided a EFI set up was best for my engine rebuild at Sonderwerks in the Charlotte area. I got the part back and would like to pass it on to someone who has better use for it.

Asking price is:$650
Which is $200 below new price.
Shipping is included.
Thanks guys![img]http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads26/IMG_85671736979130.jpg[/img

Update: apparently this part is so worthless that I may have to pay someone to take it. I’m open to any suggestions for how much I need to pay you to take it from me.LOL

Which generation Digi WUR is that one? A lot of us got burned with those - didn't work.
I had the 1 st Gen one which was working OK, til it didn't work (needle valve stepper motor).
They then went to a pulse bleed valve. Which in the time I had it, never worked properly. Not sure if they ever sorted it - they asked for mine back to fix it. Thats the last I heard of it, and them.

Alan L,
That's a good question.
Looking at the device itself,I see any serial numbers or markings. What I do know is that Sonderwerks purchased it approx.2-3 years ago and the installation guide/owner's manual with it and used to install has a manual revision of A1.I'll keep researching to find out.
I'm open to any reasonable offers.

Thanks!

If it has a small motor attached to a 'WUR' block, it is Gen 1. If it has a frequency valve attached to a 'WUR' block, Gen 2. After that, no idea where they got to. They still owe me a unit.

I am not recognising much from the pic. It may be a later version of Gen 2. No idea where they got to in the development - they stopped responding to emails.
I had fingers crossed they would solve the issues - the concept was good.

Yeh, simply replacing stock WUR and being able to address/dial out typical CIS things like "pig-rich mid-range" or "lean over 5K" would have made this a winner for many, many people, I think.

Why many wanted to believe...

However, implementation was flawed in many ways.

I'm another person they owe a unit to - once it was clear mine didn't actually work correctly (despite everything they suggested, it read double the RPM the tach showed at all times - from bone stock factory ignition - so couldn't be tuned over 4K, as their software only went to 8K), they told me to it send back to get fixed/upgraded.

Cue the now all-too-familiar "lie repeatedly about shipping" followed by "no response to phone calls/emails/faxes until you give up" story that many experienced.

In my book, that track record makes the unit useless for all practical purposes. Even if they had sorted all the problems (unproven) and it works 100% right now - what about when it stops working?

The FrankenCIS solves all those problems and is much more easily programmed
