				930 gearbox broken tab

Hello everyone. I have a 74 911, putting in a 930 box ( we'll get to that later) I ordered a bracket to replace the broken tab. Doesn't seem right to me. Is that bracket different for a 915 different than a 930??

Clutch cable? Yes, the 915 uses a bolt on bracket where the 930 has the cable holder integrated into trans housing.

Over the years I've seen a couple people post repairs which look something like this, seem to recall they only put a plate on the compression side instead of both sides, though I've never done it. | ||

I have seen that pic. Should work but checking options. My racecar guy would have been ok welding that closed And redrilling a hole. But it's been shortened and rebuilt already. Kinda too late to go that route, unless of course we take it back apart. Uh. No
