Friends 930

Always wondered what happened to my friends 930 after he passed about 30 years ago. I think it was an 86. I built the twin turbo engine that was in it. It was Porsche dark purple with purple leather interior. It ran on an electromotive engine management system. He always put yellow somewhere on the car. I think he painted the fan or engine cowl yellow. It had a Carrera intake with powerhaus intercooler that used to be on my engine. Anyone here seen the car or purchased it ?

Hey B-

Tracked down and connected with Troy (that was a mistake) a couple of years back and he said that Linda's brother sold it to someone in Canada. There was a whole lot of family drama between them and the buyer. Troy tracked it down once and then it moved on again. It was beautiful piece and ran like a scalded dog! Hope all well with you.

Makes me think we should have a Pelican registry to keep track of our cars. I have no plans to sell my 930 but you never know. Whoever ends up with it would find a world of information on the car on these pages! Maybe I should include all the 930 threads I started with my other car records.

There was an internet page many years ago that had the serial # and where the car was. I have a 76 and it was 12 numbers away from some 935 they picked off the line to make race cars. Wish I could find that sight.
