.1 is quite a bit - almost 1.5 psi.

FWIW & off this topic: I've found that the Fatory WG is dead nuts on with respect to actual boost produced from a given spring.

The Tial used with a B&B typically and regularly overboosts by .1 bar.
Weird.

I would guess the longer pipe introduces a bit of extra backpressure at the WG, so it makes it harder to dump, thus boost goes up. I have a little pipe, but I only have 1/2 bar boost, so I can barely hear it when it opens.

I'm going to relocate the WG, and build a new WG discharge, like the one pictured by Install425, with a tapered diffuser section of pipe from the WG, so that it looks like a two-out muffler from behind the car. Obviously, not a standard 930 application.

My right pipe is 3" off the turbo (through a muffler). The left pipe is 3" diameter of the wastegate (yes, overkill). It looks nice and balanced - and functional.

Porsche did this from the factory on the 964 turbo, I believe.

That's what me and A930Rocket deduced when we were at the track together and were discussing what I was experiencing/seeing on the boost gauge.
