That looks like fun. What is it and where do you go in it? I am only 3 years away from retiring and we want to move to the coast and buy something like that.

Thats a Silverton Flybridge approx 34' long. 1 master bedroom ,2 bunks and a pull out couch ( sleeps 6) full kitchen, large bathroom 2 showers. It also has a huge generator so I am selfsufficent. My wife and I go from CT to N.Y alot approximatelty 25 miles or Block Island,Martha's Vineyard all fairly close to us ( 40 miles or so ). I get about 14 gallons and hour burn pushing 2- 5.0 mercruiser marine chevy's. I travel at 30 m.p.h. cruise. You can pick up a good used one ( under 200 hours ) for around 65k.

Wow, 14 gph at 30 mph. That's awesome... I had no idea that 5.0's could be that fuel efficient. Last boat I had was a 38' Carver, looked alot like yours. (had twin 454's) Mine cruised at 12-15 knotts at about 20 gal per hour. Kick it in the ass (top speed around 20 knotts) and it helped itself to 40 gph.

It is now somebody's elses toy, and although I enjoyed it for a couple of years, I was really a happy man to see it go.

Edit: That is a great pic, looks like it was taken from a helicopter or something?

Yeah I was coming back fron Greenport N.Y. and a helicopter flew over and took some pictures . If I go over 4k rpm's it starts sucking in the fuel. but the reason I bought this is because of the 305 chevy's.
