How do I replace front fuel pump ?

I have read my 911 shop manual and it shows the pump under a cover in the front underneath the car is it the same for a 930 ? Any tricks on installing it ?

The front fuel pump sits right behind the fuel tank, yes there is a tray on the bottom of the car that has to be removed.

Once you get that off, you'll see the pump. The inlet line from the tank is a push on fitting that is hose clamped. You probably want to unhook the battery, just to make sure there is absolutely no power getting down there. The 2 terminals are 6mm(+) and 7mm(-) - I think.

Then there is a threaded fitting on the outlet that must be lossened - 19mm (I think).

The thing is held in place with nothing more than a hose clamp, if its like mine.

I'd unhook the terminals, then unhook the outlet end, then loosen the clamp that holds the pump in place. When you get ready to loosen the clamp that tightens the hose on the fuel pump inlet, be ready to shove something in that hose (if you still have fuel in the tank). Or either be prepared to hold the fuel back with your thumb and have the new pump in your hand ready to shove in there with your other hand.

Great info from Brian! I'd also disconnect the battery and have a fire extinguiser read. There will be some fuel spilled and I've heard too many horror stories that included bad burns and losing or almost losing a garage.
