I believe the 86 also has larger A/C dash vents.

I didn't see it. Have you already bought and shipped it? If not, I might be able to check it out.

I don't know what your individual states check for on the emission tests, but here in Ga. I have found that I can run my car on boost for a couple of minutes just before I pull into the test stand and pass every time. I heard about this on line and it works. It has something to do with all of the heat generated in the exhaust. I don't have a cat or smog pump and I use headers.

It makes sense... when you beat the you know what out of your car, your headers glow cherry red. The whole point of a cat is to act like an afterburner for raw emissions comming out the pipe. If your headers are cherry red they are burning the acces Hydrocarbon out of the exhaust gas just like the cat would be doing, but mr. exhaust gas analizer dont need to know that. It is defenatly feesible.

If anything people want less emissions controls. Also any 930 I've been in the heat works well enough to make the cabin so hot it's uncomfortable.

Hey Pete,

Good luck to you with the car...don't know of a registry, if you find one let me know. There is however www.911turbo.com
Kind-of-a cool site but a little slow moving. Nothing seems to beat Pelican!

Just sold my early Turbo (76) to get my other sorted and back on the road...so hey, I know where you are!

BTW, we'll have to hook-up sometime, you're not that far away. I'm in DC..occasionally get down to Fredricksburg/Spotsylvania area from time to time.
Back when I was a kid my folks had a place @ Indian Acres & Lake Anne. I raced motoX over at Cedar Ridge...you familiar with any of those places?

On boost live by all those places you mentioned,I live off Brock Rd.
Man just got my car today the 23rd,jeez only took 2 1/5 months.
Well worth the wait nice shape for being 26 yrs old . Seller left tags on it so I had to take it out to blow dust off, kids were at grandma so wife left work early and we took it out for another spin. wild man . sorry you had to part with the 76 ,whats in the pipe now ? Let me get this thing insured and legal and I'll hook up with you . If you have any 930 stuff let me know ,already hunting for parts.
Pete

Pete,

I've got that sickness they call "too many projects!" I had 2 930s and decided I needed to sell 1. Ended up selling my 76 and kept the 78 whichis pictured in anaother thread here. The 76 was in pieces and was more of a project than the 78..was time to lighten my load!

Sold most of the spare parts here on Pelican and I'm now looking for a few items myself.
Glad your's finally showed-up.. Good luck with it! We'll catch up soon.

Paul
