BBS RS GT or similar wheels wanted for street use.........I need your input

Guys, I need some ideas.

I really like the look of these wheels - BBS RS GT:

Doesn't appear they can be made for a 930:

I want them to 'fill out' the wells similar to the Kinesis I have:

I personally don't care for the Fikses.

Ideas for something similar to what I have - for street use only?

Craig
Once I get my new Lindseys, I may let go of my Kinesis K18r. They fit my '86 great with the stock rear spacer and a 1/2" spacer on front.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1167955825.jpg

Jeff,

I'm interested... do you have pics of these on a 930? Are you the dealer for these ?

thanks.

Jeff Alton 01-05-2007 08:56 AM

Don't have any pics on a 930 as the wheels I have had built to date have been all for SC/Carrera bodies. Here are some pics of some polished 17X9.0's (standard finish) for the rear of a SC/Carrera and some black ones I had done for a ummm errrr cough cough supercharged autocross Honda......

I will be picking up some more Black centered SC/Carrera ones in a couple of weeks when they are done and can take more pics of those if you need them.

Hi Jeff,

Hopefully things have changed, but I took me 7 months to get some standard spec outer shells from Kodiak somewhat recently. Thankfully they were for the Diasio so the down time wasn't a problem. Admittedly, they are well built wheels, but the possibility of no spares available or an unacceptably long lead time would give me concern.

Jeff Alton 01-05-2007 11:08 AM

Things have changed there. They have automated a majority of the process now and lead times are down. In the spring/summer there was a pretty good industry wide shortage of material available as well. They also have much more on stock hand. In fact to day I orderd some outer shells that were picked right out of stock. No wait. The more I build at a given time, the quicker the turn around as well. It may also help that I can drive over there and talk face to face with them. Agreed, they are not ready in a weeks time, but build time should drop to 3ish weeks with the next run I have done. The longest I have gone is 8 weeks on a couple of sets and the shortest so far has been 4 weeks. Still not the fastest game in town, but getting better.

Cheers

Approximate price for a set of four for a 930 - 9.5 or 10 for front / 11 or 11.5 rear, 17"? Black centers, ploished lips as above.

Craig I will send you a PM. Don't want to run afowl with Wayne here.

Thanks
