What does it cost to have the wheels done? I have stock 16" Fuchs on an 82 Euro 930, can these be converted to 17" or 18" x 9"F/ 11"R?

I love the look of the Fuch's, just not the size!

He can only make 17's out of 16x6" donor wheels. I believe that Mike is working on a wheel that will not require any donor wheels, but I have no idea how far away that project is from fruition.

So approximately $1950 plus shipping? I see a new set of painted P3 wheels are about $3200.. even that isn't crazy.

Thanks!

I agree- the prices are very reasonable- sometimes he's a little backed up, so you have to wait a few weeks for the wheels.

Somthing else to keep in mind is to start doing research now on a tire shop you trust to do the mounting - I learned the hard way that it is possible to crack the bead that seals the 3 pieces if they are not careful - especially with the wide 16 x 12's I have on the back.

Good news is Mike at Lindsey responds quickly to email. Bad news is "I can't use your factory wheels to convert to my 17" parts, the only wheel that allows me to do this upgrade is the 6 x 16 front wheel from the 78-89 911Sc and Carrera."

Oh well, I guess a set of P3's is in my (distant) future!

Craig,
Not a 930. But....it is a turbo and the wheels are Lindsey's.
17x8 & 9.5 with 235/40, 275/40-17 Toyo RA-1's on my SC
flared '74.

Very nice cars, Jim & Bryant. My goal is to fully fill out the wells close to the way my curent 275/315s do -

Like the G-Force TAs? I enjoy the V710s on the street, but running near slicks on the mean streets of Kirkland, and then going 150 on the track doesn't make survival sense...

I want something close to the V710 feel.

Can you give any more details? They cracked on the mounting machine?

Actually, they cracked it when they were taking the old tires off... wouldn't admit it - what a shocker - there is a very thick bead of silicone that seals the three pieces which didn't make it obvious that there was an issue until a day later, when I took the wheel back and used their water tank, it there were small leaks around approx 5 of the bolts - sent back to Lindsey who fixed it.
