Porsche Crest Front and Rear RSR/IROC bumpers

Hi Craig,

For the bumpers, you can contact Steve Alarcon. He is on the board and has his shop in Torrance Ca.

He removed my factory bumpers, provided and installed front and rear RSR/IROC bumpers with stainless fittings and added RSR front oil cooling with plumbing.

All I had to do was have the body pieces painted to match. He does top quality work and he is widely known for his suspension expertise.

Paul

I just thought I'd join the Lindsey backers. These are great wheels! I was concerned about the tire mounting issue so I had a new set of tires shipped directly to Mike Lindsey. He mounted and balanced them himself, then shipped the wheels to me.

Great looking wheels----love the deep dish on the rears.

Too bad I couldn't do that on mine (without adding a foot of fender flaring). But I did manage to get 315/25/19's under 'em!

Good luck with them!

I love them so far. I'm installing coil-overs in the next couple of weeks, so I'll be able to lower the car more easily and I'll lose the bune buggy look. BTW, what do you think about 600 lb front and 800 lb rear springs (ditching the t-bars altogether)? The car will be 60% track 40% street. I also think I'm going to dial in about 1.5 degrees of negative camber on the rears- did you do any of that to your car?

I haven't had the car on the track yet, so I cannot say how they do there, but in my 400 or so miles before my turbo blew a seal, they seemed great.

Keep the torsions, they work just fine - trust me. What do you currently have?

Possibly get the largest torsions you can for up front/rear and probably add RSR coilover shocks in back with helper springs.

I'd say about 1.5 up front and approx 1.8 in the rear would be good for your car for your use .

It's a done deal. I have already ordered and paid for the coil-overs. I was very tempted to stay with a t-bar setup, but decided to go with the coilovers after a lot of consideration.

To answer your question, I still have the stock t-bars/ sways.

...am I opening a can of worms by asking why pictures of a 928 wearing 997 wheels ended up in a "Lindsey wheels on a 930 - show us your pictures", thread? Posted in the 911 /930 Turbo & super charging forum, no less!

And FWIW, I like 928s...

Hi Jim,

The wheels look great. I can't see the picture that well, but what brand of tire is this?

Also, how is the road noise using this tire?

C.L.

BFG KD. Awesome tire, the best streetable tire made. Virtually a track tire for the street.
Concerned about road noise in a 930?

It really looks like a good tire for both track and street. Too bad I couldn't find it in a 315 x 17.

Good point about the road noise in a 930...
