930 heat help . . .
have an '83 930, heater controls don't work (stuck open) so cannot direct heat and currently blowing 1,000btu's on my feet and nearly melting my shoes, anyone know how to close the flapper boxes from the heat exchangers? I'm guessing I have to remove the big clunky unit between the seats and pull/push the cables manually?? Any assistance greatly appreciated, thanks.

Check the cable connection between levers and heater mixing valve. You will have to crawl under the rear and check the valve for cable connection, spring operation, and of course corrosion. Take some penetrant spray with you, if valve just appears stuck from lack of operation. All repair parts are available from our host.

Heater flapper box are what they are called I think. Can get road grime and gunk in there and the cables do break sometimes. Easy to fix though especially if you have a lift.

I have read that the mounting studs are delicate, though...proceed with caution.
