Strange heat problem

I have a very strange situation - the moment I step on it & get on boost, the driver side windshield will instantly get a puff of steam and fog up whenever its cold or wet outside.

Under normal driving condition, I do feel heat coming out from both vents up to the windshield.

What could cause this?

thanks...

Interesting phenomenon, is the engine fully warmed yet? I would first inspect heat exchangers for cracks, and heater hoses/clamps for proper fit. Stock heat exchangers or GHL? Put a carbon monoxide alarm beside you to be safe. Keep us posted on your findings.

I have had this happen too. Always damp outside and with the engine not fully warmed up. Doesn't have to be on boost, just some throttle and I get some fogging.

I figured it was just moisture or condensation in the ducting.

Mine seems to get worst after warm up. Yes, I suspect it might be a crack inside the heat exchanger (its GHL with heat) since I can't see any cracks on the outside; and I do smell exhaust in the passenger compartment.

But, how does it explain the fog up on 1 side? Could it be crack only on the driver side HE box hence part of the exhaust from the header is actually sent to the windshield, hence lots of hot air on 1 side?
