Oil draining

I am having an issue with my oil drain from the turbos. When I installed a twin turbo system many years ago, I had to add an electric oil scavenge pump in addition to the stock pump. After rebuilding one turbocharger, more oil is now going through the turbo(this is normal I am told ). I had oil being pushed out the exhaust, and I temporarily added another pump and this solved the problem. Obviously having 3 pumps is pretty ridicules, and I love the idea of draining the oil into the drain plug cover. My question is: Can the engine oil pump handle all this extra oil? Thanks Thor

Thanks for the info. How much do the modified cover go for? I can make one up myself in 30 minutes if I have to. Thanks Thor Thorlief.Barbru@sprint.com

they ended up costing me 70 dollars each with shipping to me.. I then drill and weld them up and ship em any where in the us for a total of 90.. It is more a service then anything.. I really should not be spending time doing this but kind of a pet project

Ben, you solution above si only feasible for an SC motor, right? The 3.2 Carrera has a different sump drain setup.... it's like KPSG's earlier post.

yup sc's and turbos use the sump plate.. the 3.2's use the oil drain plug.. regardless we can both still use the same feed lines..

I have 5 left and jcc911,darkmoon, andlukesportsman gets three of them so 2 left.. and thats it.. as I said before more just doing som favors here..

Ben, I'll still buy it since I ordered it BUT will this work on my new core 3.2? I changed plans along the way and I guess I didn't research it enough Now saying that, I don't mind if its simply a question of redundancy as I like the idea of draining to this location and is why I jumped without looking.

It's not like the first Porsche part I've bought and not used immediately!
Let's see a set of 3.0 P&C, IC's, K16, extra 3.2 heads, etc.... At some point I'll look at in the garage and realize I own another 911 its only in boxes

Do any of the suppliers make a replacement line that runs from the oil tank to the scavenge pump in braided steel with AN fittings ?

Ok I'm feeling lazy and just want to swap the line instead of make one up!

Ben, I owe you a phone call or email about some flanges!

Thanks

Ben, that sucks. I did actually notice that the price you mentioned meant you were making next to nothing doing all this.

Have you modified them all? I could buy a non mod'd one to get your money back for my 3.0 NA since my turbo project moved onto a 3.2 case. I'll be out of town for a few days, but hate to see you stuck with these in an attempt to be helpful.

Ben does great work and is stand up in his business if anyone is on the fence. I have several of his products and wouldn't hesitate to put another on one of my 911 engines.

luke they are all modded so I am stuck with them

> They cost me 65 each plus a couple bucks each for shipping to me. then my time to weld em up and shipping back. so I was charging 90 bucks shipped which is nothing comapred to time etc. it was a favor that I don't mind doing but now Kind of a bit miffed

What kind of nipple/fitting is on the end? Could it be capped with an AN fitting? When my Alusils finally fail, who knows......I have an extra set of Mahle cylinders and some 91 turbo P&C's. I hate to go bad on a deal if they are workable.

no don't worry about it I fully understand as you have the 3.2 now. it would be to much of a PIA to cap it
