Has anyone 'upgraded' their pre '91 3.3L by swapping to the '91-92 all finned P&C set? If so, any modifications needed on the tins on the cylinders? I'm looking at a new set of these that are being sold almost too cheap to pass on. I've heard that they'll run a bit cooler than the half-finned originals, but I wasn't sure if they are a 'bolt-in' upgrade or if there's more to the picture....
Thanks!! |

I have fully finned 97mm cylinders in my Carrera motor. I don't think any extra machining was required as such to make them fit.
I had the base of the cylinders machine as I was running thicker (0.5mm) base shims as well as the 0.5mm C2T head gaskets.
