Pics of Tangerine 930?

Want to see what my 82 will look like in Orange. A paint code would be nice also..

Yeah... More pics of that!

I had an early 911S targa once upon a time that was the same color. Also known as Blood Orange. Then of course there is Tangerine.. think there may be one more shade that Porsche offered. Last but not least is the Pearl Orange offered I believe only for the Turbo in the late 80s!

Thanks! The IROC tail is one of those KevinP73 specials, allowing the use of an intercooler. The color seems to vary from camera to camera and in and out of sunlight.

ok, you asked for it...let gratuitous times roll....

Kevin Mentzer (KevinP73) did an excellent job on the bodywork and paint, I really couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I'll have to get the rock chips taken care of soon and then apply some 3M or equivalent clear protectant.

I really think a stock-bodied 930 would look really nice in blood orange (tangerine).

Very nice Mike, mine will be a 95% track car and will look quite similar to yours. I love the Blood orange but i'm still leaning toward Tangerine.

That color in europe is called blutorange (literally blood orange), and in the USA it is called tangerine. They are interchangable names for the color that is Porsche paint code 018.

There is another dark orange color called Continental Orange with a different paint code (I just don't know what the code is).
It's the color of the jagermeister 74 RSR racecar.

Your car sounds like it'll be beautiful either way, can you post any pics of her?

CHeers!

paint code

i have a 78 930 that was originally painted orange...someone converted it to a guards red slopenose. i went back to the original fenders, etc. and painted the car black...the paint code tag number is 107-9-1.is this continental orange color number? not trying to hijack the thread...seems pertinent?

Help with JAEGERMEISTER orange

Yes, the thread on the Jager RSR (~2/3 down on 1st page) lists continental orange as paint code POR-107.

The motor is ho hum looking. I'm not in to detailing, I like to drive it on the track mostly.

Someone say continental orange -- paint code is 107 (I believe).
My attached project is continental orange.

Porsche Crest Wow I Back Dated Mine Too!

Hey Mike,

I have not seen you since Steve Alarcon's shop in Torrance, Ca.
Wow, awesome color choice. I guess we are both hiding our I/C's under our tails.
Pic from New Years Run.

Hope to see you soon,

Paul
