Stage 1 for 930 Turbo Cab?

I finally am getting the horsepower bug. After owning my 88 930 turbo cab for a little over a year, I feel confident enough to massage the beast's numbers a little.

Did some research and came up with a Powerhaus stage 1 kit. Sounds like plenty for me. Called my local wrench (bodymotion in Ocean, NJ) And they suggested to buy the parts from them since they couldn't warranty costumer supplied parts. Cost is about $9500 installed and tested (dyno). Basically the same kit as the Powerhaus stage 1.

Is this reasonable? I want to make the best possible choice but not get hosed, so any advised is greatly appreciated.

Also try Imagine Auto. Stephen is known to put together some nice kits as well, and people have had good results dealing with him on this board.

I know, that's why I'm looking to increase hp. Got to be ready for a hopefully dry spring run up the Palisades this year.

$9500 seems a little steep. For that kind of bread you could cover the major must haves and have some left. I would consider headers/muffler $3000 for B&Bs- $1000 for k27- $1400 for intercooler- $150 for diverter, intake $400, and a set of euro lines/block/injectors $400 used + $100 man. boost controler. Then factor about 10 hours of labor (this is generous) at $100/hour for a premium shop. That comes to about 7 and a half g's. Now I dont know about warrenty, but as long as dont crank her to 18 pounds and do 5th gear pulls all night, you shouldnt have a problem. Thats how I would do it. If you want any help, my buddy Jimmy owns a tuner shop in Norwalk CT that does a lot of work on 911s (Jimmy has 1000 horsepower 993 twin)

That sounds pretty good. I kind of thought that 9500 was too much in general. Send me a pm with your buddy's info I'll look into it.
