I have an 86 slant nose with the semi-auto heat control in the center and the stock ebrake- would I be able to modify the harget to fit both items? The heat control I could hide underneath the hargett an run the nob at the top. But the E-brake is what Im concerned with. How little travel does the shifter restrict the ebrake to and is it possible to turn the sheet metal part of the shifter towards the front of the car and have the machined portion switched around?
what are your thoughts?

A friend of mine A930Rocket has the shifter with all of his heater controls. You simply adjust the e-brake so that it doesn't require much travel.

I see- I will have to look into that setup. How much would I expect to pay for the Harget? Also, they did not even come out with the non G-50 setup yet, do you know if they are close?

Steve- that seine setup looks pretty cost effective, but Im young and need the "bling" affect of the Hargett or the Wevo. thanx for the link though.

Hey I like your honesty!

FWIW, WEVO has all the goods available - G50, 915, and 930 shifters.
Ready to roll.

I've got the Hargett shifter and really love it, especailly since I moved my seat back several inches. The shifter is placed higher and further back. No more stretching to get it into 3rd gear, which when strapped in was difficult with my short throw shifter and stock shifter.

I also have the emergency brake and use it without problem. Since my auto heat didn't work, I just left that whole mess out and pull up on the small heater cable arm manually.

When you add up a WEVO and their coupling, it's the same price as a Hargett which includes the coupling.

What's the address for the Hargett website? I can never remember the right spelling for Google...

Also, I thought the 930 shifter was still in prototype stage- are they selling them now?

Yeah, Rocket, post a picture of that evil-doer skull shift knob (with menacing ruby eyes) that's ridin' on the Harget!

here are my pics:

I've shortened the shifter itself a little since then, and moved all of those wires that are running near the tunnel.

I love my Hargett and would never go back to stock.

I have long arms and never even thought about the long throw, until I tried this G50 unit. Short clean throws.

I threw some leather over it to make it a more finished look. I also wanted the clean console-delete look and relocated controls into the glove box. Ignore the boost controller cables that still need to be lengthened....

Uncovered -

This should give you a sense of how it moves the shifter back to you. My hand falls off the steering wheeel right into position. I now use my wrist to shift, where before you'd use your whole arm.

Hope that helps.

Glenn

that looks good purplehaze. I like it!

In fact, I like it better than the first version of the Hargett that I have!

Brian, since you were one of the "first adopters" of my shifters I was going to offer you a special upgrade price if you are interested. The newer design is very nice imo. I'm also going to offer a free knob upgrade (newer/better design) to anyone currently using my shifter. Hopefully Pelican will be carrying my products soon. cheers.

Mark,

Do we have a time frame/expectation on the new 930 shifter? Is it a go for sure.....should I wait? Did you continue developement on the intake whether for yourself or other?
