I dont know, I want a hargett because of the fact that it is right there, but the Wevo would be a hell of a lot easier to get and deal with. I want to drive cars with the two diffrent systems, but all my friends have 964/993 that dont suffer from this dilema. Oh well here goes the coin toss.

Well the good news is : Regardless of which one you select, you'll still be able to change gears....

Brian,

I went through a couple of your videos (the latest NASA footage was sweet BTW) looking for in-car footage showing the shift action. But that one was on top of the car and another one was in-car but did'nt show the shifter.

Anyway, do you have any footage of the shifter in action? TIA

No, my camera is at the top of the windshield looking out... So no in-car. I tried to move the bullet cam to the rear roll cage but the glare on the windshield basically blocked everything out.

I can live with my present OEM shifter but it would be nice to add about three inches and bend it back and to the left a little. Has anyone tried this to a regular shift stick?

I like the idea of the Hargett and plan on buying one before too long. The one thing that always irked me is the stock "truck" shifter our cars have. I drive with it just fine but, it would sure be nice to have more of a conventionally positioned shifter to make things a little smoother and easier.

I agree with you Porschefile, I feel as if I am driving an international school bus when I switch gears in my 930. I have gone as far as almost buying the tunnel section out of a 964/993 and welding it into the 930 so I could have a close postioned short shifter. Thats too much work for a shifter and I remember that when ever I look at my welder.

Just thought I'd give a status update. As you can see I'm making progress. I have 3 shifters out testing right now. The shifter is going to have a sprung loaded 3rd/4th gear plane but that isn't quite right yet. No eta but I am getting close. cheers.

Hadn't seen it in black before....nice. Do you have any pictures of one in all black? Don't mean to hide your craftiness, but it would look a little more understated in a street ride.

Thanks for the eye candy!

Did you achieve any results for your intake manifold, Mark?

I had a short shifter that I bent back and to the left. It wasn't enough with mny seat moved back. I was still stretching to get it in third. If you add three inches, then the throw gets longer like a school bus.

That new shifter from Mark looks great. Any trade ins?

Here are some pics of mine. You can see it places the shifter higher and further back. Makes shifting a breeze. I swapped out the knob for grins.

I'm curious about updates too.

I like the idea of the Wevo since it looks stock, but considering I work at a machine shop, the Hargett would be more interesting.
