Key slot in the door jamb?

88 930 turbo and theres a key slot in the door jamb on the driver side. Can anyone tell me what the heck it's for?

Buddy of mine is asking & I don't have the answer....

It's for the factory "alarm". There should be another key to activate it.

That must have been an option. I didn't know that the 930 even had an anlarm on it. I'll have to go see if I have this special "alarm key" access.

I noticed that too in my 87..Havnt messed with it. I thought it was some kind of ancient Valet system... Glad to hear its an alarm...Maybe Sand_man can publish them in a URL so all of us 930 guys can see it... I was to bashful to ask....
