That's Juan's Carrera. His engine has nothing in common with a CIS 930 so your results would likely be different.
Flames are the result of the hot turbo igniting unburned fuel on over run, when the throttle is chopped. If you want a sideshow you can play with various gears and RPMs when you chop the throttle and have a spotter tell you when it occurs.

Right on. Pre-rebuild, mine would do the flame routine for about 4 or 5 seconds right after full throttle, in gear, into a corner on the track.
Now, not a flame in sight, ok by me. The on track cars and people in the stands aren't as entertained though

In my case, it might have had something to do with a very leaky intake valve passing unburned fuel out the exhaust --- there are probably several ways this flameage actually occurrs, somehow get the fuel out there and it'll happen, right?

I too am interested in a Zork tube for my '89 930 and want to have the wastegate dump pipe to exit through the stock exhaust location like the Fabspeed dual exhaust one does. I contacted Fabspeed and they would not sell the dump pipe alone. I would be interested in purchasing a Zork tube and a dump pipe as described.

Craig, that was sick, I want my car to do light up like that one did. I dont think will take much. Im getting my headers back from my buddy who's welding a t-4 flange on it for me, then I get to fabricate the exhaust after the turbo. When I finish this I will post pictures.
