Yup, that's a boost knob. I can see the regulator body behind the carpet.

Why would someone add a boost knob to a CIS turbo motor.....

Yea it will. I would suggest you make your adjustments in 4th gear. In every other gear things are happening way to fast.

Hell yes, it will.
I assume you have EFI and he computer is adjusting the AFR when you goof with the knob. No, you have CIS and when you "crank the knob" you are seriously messing with the AFR. This isn't an Eagle Talon, Evo, WRX, or a car with a computer. Get above .8 bar without verification of all functioning CIS components, and you are in unknown territory. Check, verify, and keep the boost at one level. I guess I don't understand the obsession with "adjustable boost" - on a stock CIS 930, it is damn foolish.

i dont have any info thats why im asking . I bought the the car sight unseen off the net. pretty scary huh but it all went in my favor. the guy who sold it to me didnt tell me all the goodies that i got with it. i adjusted the valves and the valvetrain looked great inside. if i want full boost do i turn it clockwise or counterclockwise? i just want to put it on full boost and leave it there.

Dial it up all the way and tell us what happens. Nah, don't.
Take any pictures yet? Let's see the intercooler, boost knob, turbo, top end and the car itself.

Get on a highway with no traffic. Preferably straight for several miles. Get it in 4th gear with the pedal floored so you are showing full boost. Then adjust it accordingly.
