Tial Wastegate: Real vs. Fake

Anyone one here know how to tell an authentic Tial Wastegate to a fake Chinese version? I have never had had one before, and just purchased a new one at a great deal. Just want to make sure its not too good to be true.

Mine has Tial painted (or engraved.. I aven't looked down there in awhile) on the top cover.. I suppose that it would be easy to replicate if you really wanted to!

Yeh, TiAL is engraved on the top of the wastegate. If it's a chinese knock off, it won't have any engravings. It's not one of those JDM or XS-Power knock offs you see all over E-Bay is it? If it is, I'd give it 6-12 months lifetime. It'd probably rust out, and the diaphragm will get stuck over time.

You get what you pay for

Thanks guys, I was told it was a brand new Tial. I have not seen it yet as it will be here any day. The picture I saw looked exactly like a Tial, but I haven't seen the top. I would never be cheap enough to put some jap-spec or ebay crap on my Porsche, but I dont mind saving a couple hundred either!
