Wheel spacing question... RUF WHEELS
I posted a question a few day's ago about tire sizes and now I have a new problem( well not a problem....). I am using a set of Ruf wheels off of my narrow body car on my new 930 and the fronts (17x8) looks like they sit way inside under the fenders(plenty of clearance but looks a little funny) they need to be spaced out a bit, has anyone ever used this wheel setup and if so what size spacers did you use? I am running a 215/ 45 /17 on the front. The back(17x9) looks pretty good but maybe could scoot out a bit as well, thanks for the help.

What year is your car and do you have any spacers now?

The car is a 1982 turbo and the only spacers on it are the stock rear spacers.

You can run pretty large spacers before you have to go to bolt on spacers. Just figure out how much you need to add and whether or not you'll have enough stud length. Then order spacers and studs if needed. Obviously bigger spacers are easy. I've never changed studs, so I can't comment on that without a closer look.

You shouldn't guess spacer size on the front (the rear doesn't matter), if you do you alter the geometry. You must fit the centre of the new wheels exactly where the centre of the stock wheels were using spacers.
Using proper hub adapters means you do not have to worry about stud lengths.
