Before I continue on this path..

Before I continue on this path I will start by putting in fresh 94 octane pump gas in the car (sonuco ultra here in Canada). After much reading, this sounds like the most logical first step. I have raised the stock boost slightly so I could only assume that 91 is no longer the 'minimum' requirement. Once I have that in the car, I'll listen again to check for detonation and proceed to ratarding the timing a tad If I need to (I may ask a few questions about the process there.. be patient with me, I'm learning!).

From the LM-1 I gather I have enough fuel.. just not the best fuel.

It's a US car.. 26* you mean at 4000RPM for advance (which would mean having the vacuum hose disconnected right)? I presume there is a notch indicating the mark on the pulley.

Is stock 29degrees?

3rd gear pull looks better...

Thanks for looking at these things guys. I appreciate the help.

I dialed back the boost a little (to about 10psi ~.65bar) because this detonation scares me (as it should) and all was good this run, but I hope the 94 octane gas allows me to up it a little. I ran it through 3rd to about 5500K (I still haven't figured out why the RPM gauge reads low).

Looks much better, although I think I need to richen the mixture screw a tad more.

12 AFR is good, lower is too rich and you will be washing the oil away from your rings.

Seems you might need some help from Brian Leask with his RPM solenoid setup.

more logs with K27S and IC installed

Here are 2 higway runs at WOT.. Since my last post I have installed a K27S. the first run I had a small boost leak. My Boost gauge clamp came loose, so the second run is much more accurate.

For both runs, the first bit is 2nd gear.. then all of third to redline, and then a short bit in fourth (I ran out of room). Sorry no RPM's this time, for some reason that doesn't work at all now!

I suspect that once I check my injector for cylinde #5, it may be even richer which would require a small amout of additional tuning.
No comments on my shifting time please... lol

At .9 bar, twin plug, 22 degrees timing, K27 HF turbo, adj WUR. etc - I MUST run a mix of race and 92 premium gas on the road or clatter, clatter.

I'm running Sunoco 94 now, no exceptions. Pinging has disappeared and I know my AFR's aren't half bad.

I don't do any track at all, it's basically just bursts on teh highway when I get a chance.

she runs good so far.. so I'm not going to worry to much about the idle AFR. She's real rich when cold, but makes her way up to 12.5 or so once warm.
